After Sandy Hook, I mentioned to some gun-owning friends that I thought a good position for the NRA to take would be to advocate for more gun safes in homes. I may have well been speaking Martian. Apparently, that was regarded as nanny-state thinking, even coming from a private organization.
At what point do you know it is time to use the “tyrannical government” one? I mean is there a secret code like "One if by land. Two if by sea. and “The red ‘ants’ are coming.” or something?
