The national IQ is going up every day, will we ever run out of Darwin Awards?…. winning, so much winning….
’We’re going to win so much, you’re going to be so sick and tired of winning, you’re going to come to me and go ‘Please, please, we can’t win anymore.’ You’ve heard this one. You’ll say ‘Please, Mr. President, we beg you sir, we don’t want to win anymore. It’s too much. It’s not fair to everybody else.’” Trump said. “And I’m going to say ‘I’m sorry, but we’re going to keep winning, winning, winning, We’re going to make America great again.”

Yeah, we live in crazy world. The irony of this cartoon is I often mention all the things my Grandparents had to deal with. Growing up during The Depression. The sacrifices made during WWII. Both Grandfathers serving in the Army during WWII.
And now we have people that can’t be bothered to wash their hands and wear a mask that covers both their mouth and nose when they go to stores and workplaces. Seriously, this is not a lot to ask. It should be considered patriotic to protect fellow Americans from a common threat.
This is the attitude people had for a long time about wearing seatbelts. Also, about wearing a helmet on a motorcycle. Fortunately for safety sake a lot of those people have come around to compliance because they saw it saved lives.
I think we can blame our president on the attitude about wearing a mask. If we had a leader who cared about us and educated people on mask wearing and wore one himself, I think the attitude would be different for most people ~ not all, but for most
If we are to truly reflect the modern mentality, the second frame should read “I won’t wear it.” The big difference being of course the change from WE need to do this to win, to ME, MY rights, being all that matter today to many.

I have friends in Alaska who swear they will continue to wear masks after the pandemic, at least in the winter, lol!

Should have a Pic of Moscow Mitch on the right panel. The caption: “Embracing facism in 2020”.

In the second panel, I would have drawn the woman giving the “bras d’honneur” to Dr. Fauci on a TV screen as he repeats, “Wear a mask.”

Pretty much the same reaction for fighting Fascism here NOW. We are letting them flourish without even trying to stop them.

Make a mask a perquisite for medical care. No mask, no medical help. Same with vaccine, no shot, no doctor.

It’s just so stupid how people have turned a simple medical devise – a face mask – into a viscous political statement.

Explain how that violates your civil rights. Don’t just spout nonsense. Defend your position.

Wearing a mask is not a political statement. It’s an intelligence test. At the end of this pandemic we will have a more intelligent society.
