Honestly I agree with both. Itâs good to get things off your mind, thatâs healthy; but to do it before something important like a driverâs test isnât the best idea.
While I thought that I had a âbadâ last name. âFinkbeinerâ would be an even worse last name to be running around with. I could just see the kids from primary school on up doing things with a name like that.
I hate to say it â but this is just another case of âItâs all about her!â Iâve been watching how women writers and male writers write (in the NY Times). Two people writing about a new tech device: the guy writes about the device;the woman writes about HER problems with the device⊠it specifically becomes a personalized narrative. An article about a woman whose parents divorced at 60 years of age. Instead of really being about why older couples might break up at such a late date â it was all about HER problem dealing with the break up. One more time â all about HER! This is not automatic â but often enough to be noticeable.
Yeah, OK, bring back the memories, Ms Johnston. My high school most serious GF tossed me over just like this for a college guy who skied wearing a cowboy hat. Note to Mike: we bounce back and have great lives and loves, it really isnât the end of the world. Ace your test, there are plenty more to come.
This brings back memories. On the way to a biology class test, my boyfriend sent a girl to break up with me. I was so upset that I made an F on that test when, under normal circumstances, I would have probably made a B, or maybe even an A. Years later, he called when he was in morticianâs school and indicated he wanted to try again. I was happily engaged, so I had the pleasure of turning him down. That felt good!
Over the years Iâve learned that itâs generally men who do the dumping for another female. Most females dump their guys because they find them insufficient â not to hook up with another.
All Iâm saying is, if he fails the test because his feelings are unsettled then he would have failed anyway. (Or should have failed anyway.) Reminds me of this letter to the editor years back. Somebody complained about having to do his driving test at rush hour in a very busy street. And I though, dude, itâs your responsibility to be good enough to handle it.

OK, so I guess theyâre not going to bond over their shared love of Jason Finkbeiner.

Maybe I didnât love you.
Quite as often as I could have.
Maybe I didnât treat you.
Quite as good as I should have.
If I made you feel, oh, second best. M
(You did, you did).
Girl, Iâm sorry I was blind.
But you were always on my mind.
You were always on my mind.
You were always on my mind (You were always on my mind).
You were always on my mind.

Mike didnât engage in enough of that âother stuffâ and then Jason came along and showed her what she was missing.

The best breakup I ever had was with a woman who admitted, after a few dodged phone calls, that she just wasnât in love with me anymore.
Not a problem. You canât âpush on a ropeâ.
