Itās a fine line: Old enough to have something worth saying (your opinion, of course)ā¦ but young enough to remember what it was. Iām already on the ātoo lateā side of that divide, though I do remember some things. Sometimes.
Go āremindā him about the time he broke into Democratic Headquarters with the Plumbers to help Nixonās re-election. Itāll make a great chapter in the memoir. But convince his 1959 second place showing in the Tour de France deserves a lot of space.
Thereās a great little (analog) notebook company out there whoās motto is āIām not writing it down to remember it later, Iām writing it down to remember it now.ā Much less ephemeral than digital notes.
Why is the guy sitting in front of a bookstore? Is that what authorās do when theyāre writing? How is collecting money going to help? How did the lady know what he was doing? How did the lady know that āwriting memoirā is a phrase when none of the rest of us did? Why is the bookstore allowing him to set up a table there? How is he using that laptop while holding a hat in one hand? Why am I writing all this instead of just saying that I donāt understand any part of this strip?
Iād question putting money in his hat since he using an expensive MacBook. Iām 100% Mac since the very first one, so mineās the voice of experience.
