That kind of regret already exists and has a name. It’s called a “conscience”, and it tells you when the thing you’re about to do is wrong. Problem is that many people never pay attention to it.
They are actively trying to get this into the dictionary. EveryLittleThing podcast had this word as top three, but they eventually voted Nibling (a gender neutral word for niece or nephew) as favorite.
