email for more details.
Tell Janis to go have a glass of wine. When she finishes the paint will be dry and also match the chip. (if it doesnât who cares time for Arloâs glass of wine)
Iâve always thought it ridiculous that women are explaining that men âmanslpainââŠ. Almost as good as those who condemn all who are âjudgmentalâ, thus judging that judgments are somehow evilâŠ
I did the deck. Two weeks of pressure washing, âbrighteningâ, etc, then a day of sweeping, painting, sweep another section, paint, pick up branches and leaves, re-paint. This week will be cleaning the gazebo â no painting.
My own Janis used to do everything that Janis does in todayâs strip. One time, I finally put down the tools and walked away, telling her that the job was hers. I stuck to my guns and did absolutely nothing more, not even putting things away. I no longer hear any âhelpfulâ questions or criticisms.
When I cook or bake my wife will be in the kitchen asking why Iâm doing something a certain way or saying thatâs not how her mother/grandmother/greatgrandmother did it. When she cooks or bake â there must be silence!
The typical definition of mansplaining is âWhen a man explains something to a woman in a patronizing tone as if the woman is too emotional and illogical to understand.â
But it is also when a man has minute and arcane knowledge of a subject and thinks you will be interested in hearing all of it. Many engineers fall into the habit of mansplaining. _(Of which I am guilty.)
In the movie â Pollockâ, Jackson is working on a painting. Wife Lee comes in, starts asking why he is doing certain colors, certain strokes, etc etc. Finally he hands her the brush and says â Here, you paint the Fâing thing!â
I canât think of what it was that we recently bought, I donât think paint (and if it was it was craft paint not wall paint). We had to go back because it was too dark a shade of beige/brown â husband was upset and it would not work with the project he was doing â âWhat do you mean tan is always a darker shade than (whatever color I had suggested)â.

As a matter of fact, once applied, every color is darker than the paint chip.

I too have been guilty of Mansplaning, but Iâve seen it done the way Janis is doing it.

He seems to be handling it rather well. Since they have a great marriage, I wonder what the story before this was.

And if she says, âJust paint it white,â donât believe the white you pick will be the white she wanted since there are probably 20 whites..

Methinks Jimmy Johnson is not clear on what âmansplainingâ is.

Usually they get lighter as they dry, thus the mansplaining

This, to me, was one of the best, and most funny A&J comics in quite a while!!!! Wonderful!

Most pigments fade with age, especially if exposed to UV.
