It seems like things are progressing with Honeymoon and Astor, or at least she thinks they are. Will be try to kiss her? What I want to know is what are those things in the background of the third frame? They look a bit like tribbles with eyes.

The Mad Colorist has Honeymoon dressed in grey again. Strange, I think.

Ho-hum…. another irrelevant (?) cutaway to Honey & Crystal, just when the story (??) was beginning to faintly perk up. Hope we get back to Archival before his side whiskers grow out again.

In the past, we saw Astor in a fancy Astro Boy costume for the cosUcon. Might Archival have a hankering for some Astro Boy memorabilia? This is the third recent drop-in of Honeymoon’s developing “puppy love” with Astor. Methinks a link to the collector may emerge.

I haven’t read Dick Tracy since 1968. I am having trouble figuring out who most of these characters are.

Is he going to try to kiss her when the love scenes come up in the movie? Or wait until he walks her to her door?

Somewhere, I suppose, these two storylines are going to cross paths. Oh yeah! When Mysta, Honeymoon and Crystal engage in “girl talk”, Mysta is going to mention Archival’s estate and his collection. Okay….terrific….maybe Tracy, Sam, Liz and Lee can sit this one out. Their services may not be needed.

However if what I said is true….what purpose does this storyline serve? Excuse me while I backtrack and try to make sense of this. I got “directionally challenged”. This is my upgrade of the term “lost”. Besides it sounds classier. Leaves those I encounter scratching their heads.

I liked Ugly Crystal’s blue hair better.

Someone asked where Dick Tracy was. Rumor is he’s in a crossover with Andy Capp, trying to deduce why he keeps falling in a canal. He’s sure bailed from this fiasco

Well, today’s strip sure brought the narrative momentum to a screeching halt.

You did talk to Mysta about how not to use your powers… right?

Where is Honeymoon calling from? That’s an awfully big bed she’s lying on. She sleeps on a king-size bed? Is it Junior and Sparkle’s bed? Have I used the word bed too many times?

Sweet little Honeymoon Tracy is growing up! I’m not sure Astor is yet man enough for the job, but Honeymoon’s hormones are buoying her up for her big First Kiss! Crystal is not so impressed, as she reads from (or types into?) another device while cradling the phone.

This little side road may yet lead back into the main story, but if so the route is devious….
