In the Norwegian translation, Peppermint Patty thinks she looks like Pippi Longstocking rather than Babe Ruth. Having seen pictures of Babe Ruth, I think the former makes more sense.

I remember reading a semi-biography or retrospective of Charles Schulz’s work. I vaguely recall that he might’ve been friends with Peggy Fleming and would put her name in the strip when he wanted to try arranging a get together to catch up. I might be confusing her name for some other athlete though. Anyway, this will end badly.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I don’t find professional models to be particularly more beautiful than other women. I guess my eyes look differently than other men’s.

My daughter goes to get her hair cut at my husband’s barber. The barber is a woman and an old friend from church; so, since our girl doesn’t want anything elaborate (short but feminine) it’s perfect.
