The dreaded toner cartridge explosion.

Wallace: “Mistakes were made. We’ll try to do better next time.”

Amelia: “*W-A-L-L-A-C-E!!!!! I wanted to do that!!!!!”

Teacher: “…. I’m too old for this job.”

Don’t these kids get a Christmas break?

I hope they still go for that “Spud Party”!

That may not wash off for ages.

Love the Spud Party flyers floating in the air. Gave me a chuckle.

The kid that looks like Big Nate’s friend wearing the welder’s glasses.

It was an accident..!

I think the one that regrets it the most is the seagull,

Once i figured out what it was i was looking at i really did do a laugh out loud.

His eyes are like dinner plates. But bigger

Hopefully some lesson was learned but now what?…..

I don’t even want the know what happened !

Spud has a lot to be anxious about, and so does the seagull. This reminds me of the firecracker in the pudding cup incident.

Maybe he should toner down a bit though…

If you go to bing.com and click the images option and enter “photocopier toner explosion” you’ll see the real deal. Most show the black stains, but red, yellow, and mixed colors happen too. People with half “painted” faces. Shoe prints left on the floor in spatter patterns.

The explosion must have raised quite a ruckus considering all the concerned faces of the onlookers.

Our school copier has been out of toner for two months, the distributor can’t get any more due to, you guessed it, supply chain issues. This makes life pretty difficult for us sometims.

I used to repair copiers and I had to clean up a few of those.

So that’s where the toner goes…

I wonder if Spud ever regrets being friends with Wallace?

I didn’t know copiers could projectile vomit. Evidently Wallace didn’t either.

Reminds me of a “problem” I had with the office copy machine.

I like that Mr. Henry took the time to draw (and color) the color toner cartridges, even though they didn’t explode.

I worked in the printing trades for around 40 years, using real oil based lithographic inks and letterpress inks. I never got quite that inky.

There goes the yearly school ink budget. Imagine how expensive all that printer ink costs?

Virtuosic cartooning, I say. Wow-wee!!!
