Nice Puddles is back!

I’m a bit surprised that Bernice’s response in the second panel was just, “Yup.” That seemed like a perfect opportunity to go into some big insufferable psychobabble analysis of Luann’s current mental state. Maybe those test results a while back sank in.

Yep, old Buzzkill Bernie – it is always about you. Bernie’s mirror probably has rose tinted glass and every day she looks into it and says, “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me…”

Bern thinks the world revolves around her. Nice tie in for a Sunday strip to the Puddles arc. Hopefully Luann is a bit more careful in the future, she is very lucky to get her dog back.

Ironic in light of the last weekday’s storyline.

A Miscue by Bernice

Bernice is such a narcissist.

I dunno who I hate worse—her or Steffi (now that Ann Eiffel’s out of the picture [I hope!]).

Conceited “counselor”. If only Bernice could have turned around and looked.

She mispronounced “arf”.

I see the Bernice bashers are out in force today.

This was supposed to be a gag strip.

Regardless of what she faces, Luann will always have Bernice and Puddles by her side.

I almost feel sorry for Bernice here. But Luann’s true BFF is Puddles.

There’s something disturbing about the fact that Bernice thinks that what she does counts as “comfort and companionship”.

She’s talking to Puddles, not you Bernice. You’ve been some help, but not that much.

Oh and you too Bernice!

Luann would be smart to let that slide.

Puddles is a mutt. it would be interesting if LuAnn does a dna test on him.

So, has she moved in permanently, now? (Not, Puddles, Bernice.)

And once again Berniece takes all the credit.

Well now.

This Strip sorta drives a stake thru the heart of the notion that “Sunday Strips have little or nothing to do with the weekday arcs.”

And while Bernice takes comfort in “obliviousness,” she can also be thankful that Tiffany is NOT about to supplant her as Luann’s new “best Bud.” ;-)

Can’t say the same for Luann’s friends?

Bernice, learn to pay attention. She’s looking at her dog, not her phony best friend. Hopefully, the cartoonist will show how to expose and rid of toxic people who claim to be your friend. It’s way too common a thing.

Boy such a chance to troll Bernice. Bernice is felling frienship. If it’s drawn to make her look clulelessly selfish, well tha is a matter of interpretation. I think her being there as BFF is compelling.

There’s nothing wrong with the response. Luann is having a discussion with Bernice so why wouldn’t she think Luann is still speaking to her?

Puddles is back after a three week MIA.

Sweet strip and a fitting ending to this arc whether by design or accident. Luann and Puddles look so happy together and Bern provided the comic relief today.

I suspect that the next arc will be Brad and Toni.

I love Puddles’ tiny wagging tail.

It is possible that this arc continues tomorrow. How? Tiffany goes back to the dorm and explains that there’s no reward. Betts gets angry with Tiffany, just as she did over not getting a refund for the failed pirate themed dinner. Ms. Bird comes back and wants to know what happened to “her” dog? A week long of arguing and miscommunication? I hope not, but you never know…

Time for Spring cleaning. Send Bernice’s brother back to Manila with his two never seen kids. Bernice can return to her old room at home and Flo can move back into Luann’s house it so that Tom Farrell can father her baby so that Flo and her wife can start their family. Why not?

Everyone acting like Bern is being self centered and thinking everything is about her. But what part of Luann’s behavior was suggesting that she wasn’t talking to Bern? They are hanging out in Luann’s room an Luann’s talking. Why would Bern think anything other than that she was having a conversation with her friend.

Nancy Degroot is the reason why Bernice is living at the Degroot’s home. At night, Bernice fills the void that was created when Bradley Degroot moved out to the rental.

Yeah….I’m psyching myself up for when my little buddy goes to that big litter box in the sky. She’s almost 18, been with me through thick and thin these last two decades. Found her in a motel parking lot in the Florida panhandle (Crestview specifically) two weeks after hurricane Katrina hit the area. Anyway she’s my buddy, in my lap as a matter of fact right now.

Reminded of an idea I had of singing " A Fellow Needs a Girl," which talks about the psychological comfort a man should gets from a woman, to my wife and one of our dogs, and on the last line, “My kind of girl is you,” picking up the dog.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Feel the BURN, BERN (but she’s clueless.)

Poor Puddles! He’s back home (that’s good) with the League of Narcissists (not so good). Honestly, one is worse than the other!

Always thought Bernice could be easily replaced by a dog.
