How could Luann be so lucky with Phogarty giving her advice and analysis on one side and Bernice giving her advice and analysis on the other side? It is a win ā win for sure!
Even Luann is ready to move on. But what will the Saturday climax be since the story seems to have petered out today. Perhaps Tomorrow we will see that Luannās next tutor client will be Knute, long the bane of Mr. Fogarty. He would certainly be a challenge for Luann. But wait, what could be worse than Knute ā Stefini! She certainly seems like the type that needs help in school, would be a burden for Luann with an endless stream of well-meaning suggestions about make-up and flirting with boys. And it would tie the quad stories with the Luann and Bernice stories. Hmmm, I think this would be a good direction for the strip.
I have one more day to see Fay make her appearance. If not, I will feel like Linus in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin to rise up. But if I donāt see Fay, I hope to see Tiffany doing something that makes her work up a sweat and get back into shape.
Iād say if anyone needs to move on, itās the readers who are so upset about this arc. But I realize (a) these readers enjoy complaining (b) Iād be bringing their wrath upon myself.
āWhen you fail, donāt try to reflect and understand why. Just keep doing whatever you like and move on. Especially when it comes to dealing with struggling children. Giving up on young children who need help is simply practical.ā Terrific advice.
Margo Fogarty has great knowledge of the human mind, knows how to help and gives good advices. But she still has parts of the old, sad Margo Phelps inside that make her say too much. Still a good person and Luann seems to have great faith in her. Now itās time for a new student to come, hoping this will be better than the previous one.
Move āem on, head āem up, head āem up, move āem on. Move āem on, head āem up, Rawhide. Cut āem out, ride āem in, ride āem im, cut āem out, cut āim out, Rideā em in, Rawhide!
The Blues Brothers version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdR6MN2jKYs
Youāll dig deep into your psyche and agonize if your capable of even the smallest amount of compassion for your fellow man and it will drive you to jumping off the nearest bridge!
It is mildly curious that Luann was apparently totally oblivious to the fact that Axel was not merely a sullen thirteen-year-old, but also a wanna-be horn-dog punching above his weight. Likely she herself didnāt see anything, um, āinterestingā about the little perve, meaning she would have no āreceptorsā to his signals.

I wonder if sheāll ever ever ever figure out it was Axelās crush and not her fault, gawd. If he has to tell her himself it will be such cringe.

Great advice, right on point, but.then Mrs. Fogarty does exactly what she tells Luann to not do. Mild hilarity ensues.

Mrs. Margo Fogarty reminds me of the Star Trek character. Over-explaining things.
