Clouds make good cover when you have to shoot someone. You look up at the sky, wondering where all these clouds came from and BANG, you’re shot. Also, it’s been snowing in Tracyville for like the past month! Something definitely is going on here!

We welcome back Tracy after 11 strips in a row of no Tracy. That was maybe a little too long, but at least he checked in. Nice replay of the boat shooting (though Tracy probably doesn’t think so).

Nothing new today. No story advancement. Definitely filler material.

As Neil mentioned already first apperance by Dickyboy in over a week and he’s a sniveling crybaby.

I wouldn’t watch either if I were in Tracy’s shoes, with that in my history. Good perturbed look on his face and a fine depiction of the source shot and target.

Don’t call this mook “Tonsils,” Tracy! That’s half the problem right there, His name is Matt McCullar, and he’s an impersonator.

As l said before, Mike wrote a very cool story that familiarized me with an entirely unknown chapter in Dick Tracy’s history. I like it because his roll out was clear, concise and totally non-preachy. It is also extremely humorous.

Tracy not seen lately but we all know he is on patrol to keep Tracyville safe! Never fear, Tracy’s here! (sorry)

Umm… How much time has passed? Vitamin got a call to schedule another appearance for Matt on Dot’s show. Maybe it might lead to a possible regular appearance (it don’t happen in 24 hours, it takes days to set up). He’s now well established as a regular, so much so that Tracy has given up watching the show. I’d say close to a month, several weeks at least, have passed (moving faster than real time). It is possible that more than a month passed between the April 4 & 5 strips (talk about faster than real time), but we had not seen Matt back on Dot’s show, or becoming a regular. We saw them on a date with love at first sight. Last we knew they were getting setup by Javaface for the next night.

1-SAM: HEY TRACY! Have you been watching the Dot Dash show lately?

2-DT: No. It comes on at 10 A.M. We’re working then.

SAM: Oh, yeah. Me either… ♪♫ GROOM YOUR POODLE, GROOM YOUR POODLE ♪♫

3-DT: ARRRRGGHHHH! FLASHBACK! I was fishing in my speedboat…I had on my short-sleeved suit and casual fedora when… I got shot in the hat but this time MY HEAD WAS STILL IN IT! AND someone was singing that Poodle song… THAT’S WHY I’ve always hated it! I guess. HA! Who needs therapy!

SAM: You? DT: Yeah. Maybe a little…

“But gosh, Tracy, you hold s grudge!”

So Tonsils shot Tracy! Who hasn’t? My meticulous research reveals that our Dick has been gunned down 4,622 times. His body retains 2,146 slugs and he weighs 439 pounds in his bare feet.

All that being said…Shelley does great art work!

Ironic that he sights with the eye that ISN’T bulging!

Neil Wick, compiler of stuff about Go Comics, I have a question:

The last few days, the extension „?comments=visible“ doesn’t work. All I get is „comment of the day“ and the need to press „show all comments“.

Anybody else notice this?

I guess this is the final piece of evidence that from now on, the plot will treat the impersonator as if he were the actual Tonsils. I suspected that Tracy, at least, would make a difference between the actual man who shot him and a guy who looks similar, but clearly I was mistaken.

Here’s an interesting question: What does Sam mean by his question? Is he just making small talk about TV? Does he wonder if Tonsils’ appearance is ruining the show for Tracy, but doesn’t want to state that question out loud for fear of being hurtful? Is there some other part of the show he wants to talk about?

I say the “big clue” will be spotting Coffyhead on security cams from Flintheart’s Playhouse.

Now we know that Sam & Tracy were doing their paperwork while we were watching Matt/“Tonsils” & Dot dating.

Now Dick Tracy, you have several choices when Tonsils comes on the Dot View Show. (a) hit the mute button. (b) change the channels. © go into the kitchen and make yourself a Dagwood sandwich. (d) take up doing crossword puzzles. (e) pull out the “honey dew list” get around to doing some household maintenance. (f) opportunity for quality father son time with Joe or Cool dude as he was called one time.

I read this 1952 story on microfilm of the local newspaper in my hometown. The boat was bigger than what is displayed on panel three.

I’ve been reading about Dot View. The article said that she first appeared in 1952 and then had a brief reappearance in 2014, but did not give the month or day. Can anyone help me?

Am currently investigating rumor that Judge Rulings killed himself when Tonsils’ voice came over the radio.

….hey Is it snowing outside there again? (P2, outside D.T.s window)……oof, every time I put the sled away in the shed for another year, this happens……

Seems that on some cases Dick Tracy can hold a serious grudge.
