Insta-sidekick!

Good morning™, neighbourhood watchers!

Shelley’s drawing of B.O. Plenty reminds me more of Gould’s drawing of him than what I remember recently. I like it a lot. I guess we know now that our villain is not renting from B.O., because he doesn’t seem to know him.

Some of my GC strips are late to update this evening, but not good ol’ Dick Bracy (since BO Plenty is here).

Kudos to whoever it was a couple of days was saying B.O. Plenty would be involved with this.

This could be an uneventful ride … as long as B.O. don’t go askin’ the wrong kinda questions. With any luck where “Vic” is going will still be open after wrangling with the mess that is B.O. Will B.O. become suspicious and put in a call to his buddy Rick Bracy ?

Walter and OwlMan meet B.O. Plenty!! They both have “Interesting” facial hair.

There’s a familiar face!

Will we be shown a true villain, one who drives by – leaving a neighbor stranded by the side of the road with a broken-down truck in the rain? Or will we see someone who is very considerate and offers BO a ride? (And frankly, while I think I’m a nice guy, I’m not sure I’d let a character who looked like BO in my car.)

I thought I was reading the Dick Tracy comicstrip, but instead I get Barney Goggle and Snuffy Smith! SIGH

Shelley’s really excelling on the VB portraits; today she’s perfectly captured his childlike pouty-face when things go awry.

It is good to see B. O. today…

I wouldn’t pick up someone who looked like that on a bet.

Well, I’ll find out tomorrow if “hitch hiking” is still an effective alternative to the AAA Auto Club.

well, who ever said it looked like plenty’s area was right.

Walter is thinking, “All kinds of places for a mouse to hide in a beard like that!”

Well, we see how B.O. Plenty enters the story. But unless that faulty power strip was in immediate near failure, and, since our villain wanted to avoid his neighbors, he just could’ve ordered a replacement from Amazon.

1-TRENCHY: Where is he???

2-…Ahhh, my mouse connection!

3-B.O.: Ahhh! My best customer! I hope he don’t give me too much trouble about the price increase. My supply chain got messed up when one of the barn cats died. And a course, the demand for dead mice is just sky high – especially for a premium product like mine. And if he don’t like it, he can just wait for them Chinese mice to start coming in again!

TRENCHY: I wish those Chinese mice would start flowing in again…

B.O.Plenty…nice job Shelly!

All B.O. wants is a fried mouse sandwich.

I kind of suspected that we’d see the Plentys. B.O. is a welcome face, but not to our antagonist. Feels like some good pacing in this arc right now.

Bits and pieces.

We are still just beginning to see a storyline come together, though so far it is very promising. We’ve had crime, at the ATM. We got to learn a bit about the villain Hypno-Guy, a.k.a. “Victor Buono,” though we still don’t know his real name, and we’ve met his cute pal, Walter, an owl. And now a slightly rain-soaked B.O. Plenty enters the picture in a fortuitous meet-up.

Don’t yet know where this is headed, but as I said it looks promising!

Hmmm??? I wonder if we are going to see an example of why you shouldn’t stop for strangers? Or why you shouldn’t get into a strangers car?
