Advertising was never true and politicians never stay bought.

I have a friend that lives in the Villages, Florida. He loves it. MY Mother was in advertising, she loved it.Neither one of these is for me.

You ever listen to Old-Time Radio and those commercials? They tell you to take Sal Hepatica – a laxative – for a cold. Or “whenever you have that logy feeling.”

He’s right. Just take a look at “snake oil” ads from the 1800s.

It has to be true if you read it on the Internet, or so Sasquatch claims.

My husband is a fairly intelligent person. He knows that advertising is often misrepresentation. So why it is that he buys things and then is shocked that it is not as represented – even though I have reminded him of the last time this happened? And then I have to return it for him.

My dad taught me this when I a child and I am always very circumspect in checking items I am thinking of buying and then decide it will not be as represented and don’t buy it.
