I find that the less I know, the better off I seem to be. When I was younger, I needed to know about everything that was going on around me. These days, not so much. Maybe it comes with old age. Some might even call it wisdom. But I am a cynic and I think optimists and pessimists are amateurs.
Why think when I can be told what my opinion is and are given the appropriate words to parrot when it is disproven. Usually, it starts with “Fake News” and ends with “Let’s go Brandon!”
What’s the difference between a pessimist and an optimist?
The pessimist says, “It can’t possibly get any worse than this.”The optimist says, “Of course it can!”
An optimist, a pessimist, and an engineer walk into a bar and there is a glass that is half filled.
The optimist says: “The glass is half full”The pessimist says: “The glass is half empty”The engineer says: “The glass is two times too big”
What’s the difference between a pessimist, an optimist, and a realist?
A pessimist sees a dark tunnel, an optimist sees light at the end of the tunnel, a realist sees a train, . . . and the train operator sees three idiots standing on the tracks."
Looks like being well informed about politics at this time makes one a pessimist. A couple of years ago, it was worse. Keep electing Democrats and it will keep getting better. Also, turn off Faux Noise (It’s not news).
I would think to be an optimist you would have to be optimistic no matter how bad things are. Pretty much in the definition of the word. I’m optimistic that the pitiful excuse for a human being that is trump finely gets what he deserves. I’m also optimistic that Garland grows a pair and does it.

Trump Disciples claim to be optimists.
But then, they also claim to be well informed.
By Fox “news” and the right wing media structure.

As always, optimists think that this is the best of all possible worlds. Pessimists are certain of it. Your choice…

Does this mean that staying well informed is not be compatible with optimism? Or did most of them choose the “Ignorance is bliss.” path?

Just reading down the Google news headlines is scary enough. Reading the articles just deepens the depression.

My vision was getting pretty bad, so I went to go to the optometrist.
Turns out that my vision was so bad, that I ended up at the optimist instead.
… and that’s how I got these rose-colored glasses.

Never count on a good turnout when you hire Optimist Events Inc. to put on your convention.
