Here in Florida, a/c is a necessary evil (for mold, more than anything). I MISS being able to wear summer pajamas. I hang around the house and sleep in sweat pants and fleece. And many times with an electric blanket!
I think Janis is just tired of being too warm from all the hot weather. Flannel means cool temps and good sleeping weather And she needs her coffee. And he is too darn chipper for us non-morning folks.
Seems like this strip is getting redundant. The same point with different examples. Arlo thinks she hot and Janis feels like she’s getting old and unattractive. Thinking it’s time for a resolution and move on to something new.
Arlo, she is not a morning person. My wife is a morning person, I am not, so she is all funny, giggly and pretty much nude for an hour or so till she has to take the dogs out. I’m enjoying the view and trying to find my feet.
We have one more day of hot 90+ then we are going to get our lovely on shore winds from the Puget Sound and cool off finally. I hate heat! I don’t sweat on purpose. Not a lot of A/C in the PNW.
I used to be warm all the time – back as far as remember. Then at about the same I went through menopause, lost weight and found out that I had low thyroid and it was treated. Since then I am now one of the old ladies who has always has sweatshirt with them – I used to make fun of them to husband (and they had sweaters).
Other than the one day a month I used to go to a client, the two days a year I went to the synagogue (say memorial prayers for my dad), and the extremely occasional occasion party (weddings, bar mitzvahs, first communions) maybe once a decade if that often, I wear jeans and nice tee shirts. When I started to get to cold I started wearing my old ripped tee shirts and jeans as pjs. Also wear felt socks and leg warmers. Wear them in cold weather because it is cold. Wear them in hot weather because husband turns on the a/c and it is cold. Keeps me warm, is free, is comfortable, and if there is an emergency and we have to flee the house or our RV in the middle of the night – I am dressed.

I’m hoping the sour mood Janis is in and Arlo’s cheerful mood do not share the same cause.

Men have a talent for appreciating the art in form. Some of us have a knack for saying the right thing at the right time.

Flannel feels fine, problem is its opacity.

If it bothers her, she could put on a robe.

Better start reciprocating girl before your husband doesn’t find you undesirable….

Speaking as a married guy, I can fully relate to today’s topic. Pretty amusing to find out I wasn’t alone, as who would you discuss this with?

refresh my memory, are these two independently wealthy and never work? Or does the artist only focus on their off times from work?

Warm enough inside for skin ware. Can’t wait for the chill. Autumnal chill on skin is great.

Never flannel weather for me. I can’t stand to be hot and can’t wait for winter where I can have my heat set at 60!

Arlo, just find her a flannel teddy. Then, hopefully, you’ll both be happy.

The difference between “good morning” and “WHAT??” is just a cup of coffee and a few minutes. Just don’t talk for a little bit.
