My New Year’s resolution is to wait another 2 weeks before I make one.

Calvin’s real plan is to turn everyone into him. Not that it’ll work, of course.

20 years ago I made a resolution not to make new years resolutions. It’s the only one I’ve ever been able to keep. I figure there are 365 days in a year; if you want to do something or make a change, just do it.

Love these arcs where Cal/Hobbes are talking while being thrown through the air and landing in muck. Just goes to show Cal isn’t going to let little accidents throw him off course.

Each year I make a New Year’s resolution to not make last year’s resolution. It’s kind of a sticker of Calvin peeing on Calvin. BTW, I want one of those!

Growing up it seemed dire to make resolutions for the new year….as I grew older I realized it was poppy-cock!

I love how Waterson would go out of his way to make sure the newspapers could not chop up the Sunday strip and rearrange the standard “3 rows of panels” format.

I’m up for a personality overhaul, if I could just find a shop that does them.

I initially read Calvin’s line in panel 3 as: " Everybody knows I need a complete personality overhaul." For just a second, I thought he had achieved self-awareness.

Mr Watterson do love to draw, so much the better for the rest of us (who can’t draw for squat) but who get pleasure from well-made images.

I’m probably one of those guys that needs a complete personality overhaul. But I don’t bother with New Year’s resolutions; I figure if a change is needed, there’s no point in waiting for January 1. Do it now!

This is how my dad ‘fixed’ everyone in the family across the country. His job took him all over. He was actually poisoning us against each other >_< He has passed but one day I’ll heal.

My new years resolution is to make a resolution the following year.. Been doing this for 66 years lol
