Stereotyping white people is also racist. A few years ago I would have thought this comic was being written to educate. But today I feel it is it’s own form of MICRO aggression.
I have a relative, an engineer who works for a small company. His employer was surprised when he told them he was hispanic. His last name should have been a clue. The company loves the work that he does for them.
As a parody of “ignorant entitlement”, this panel is concise and spot on. The anti-melting-pot ignorance that proves the old adage of how to insure everyone knows " you’re a moron", simply open your mouth and ask someone a truly ignorant question. Well done!!!
I was on campus when Charles Whitman shot a bunch of people from the U. of Texas Tower. A New York friend wrote to ask why we didn’t just pull out our six-guns and shoot back.
bigotry is endemic, but there are local variants, of course. an example here in japan involved the need for more workers in the car industry in the midst of population decline. some genius decided that brazilian nikkeijin (people of japanese ancestry) would be the answer. “they look like us, so they must be like us, right?”
wrong. they may look japanese, but they’re brazilian, with different customs and ways of looking at things. the experiment didn’t work out quite as planned…
Geez, chill. Does everything have to be a lesson in political correctness? Be the adult. They guy is ancient; he grew up in a different era. You’re not going to change his set ways.

Or a semi-aggressive reply: “Because I’m not a g-ringo stereotype.”
(Wow! That word is on the “banned list”? Let’s see if they also ban “Yankee”. Nope. Isn’t that a “racist” double standard?)

Being of Scottish, English, and Irish heritages, I would probably have to wear a kilt, a tam, and clogs.

This is Day 2 of Microaggressions, and Option 2 on both days is the same – “You’re an idiot”. Seems rather simplistic.
