Some cyclists sure CAN be tedious to deal with. The path I live on (paved but ohso narrow anyway) is scenic and popular for all vehicles, strollers, dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists. I put a cooler with water (summer) and a trash can at the end where there is a small area that one can hang off road. Watched the cyclists ignore it time after time, leaving their trash everywhere. Said something to them once, started out polite but they insisted on bringing out my best Beech. Haven’t seen them much since but they will now hog the road (winding and narrow). I have invested in one BA airhorn for my truck/trailer. Works very well : )
Another misuse of the term quote, it’s seldom used correctly now. Thoreau wrote something, he didn’t quote it. When someone repeats what Thoreau wrote, they are quoting Thoreau. But it’s not a “quote from Thoreau,” it’s a statement from Thoreau.

Somebody should send Jeff to the bottom of Walden Pond.

IIRC, Henry David Thoreau wasn’t much into uncivil disobedience. Or even uncivil obedience, for that matter.

For anyone wondering about the original quote…
The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation.
And, regarding uncivil disobedience…
Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves.
Doug K almost 2 years ago
How many cyclists did it take to come up with that version of the quote?

Just for reference:“The mass of men live lives of quiet desperation”

Guaranteed Pastis resents the weight his wife gained and this is his unhealthy way of channeling that resentment.

If the “good” people are MARRIED by now, what makes you think, since his “OWN” characters hate him, he’s MARRIED at all?!

Well, as goat isn’t a “man” Jef did have to change something.

No no, Goat. Jeff is totally correct.
