And yes of course a hats of to Fabulous FoXo for his Brilliant BOZO!
For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so beautifully and brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.
An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!
Fabulous FoXo may be unfortunately unsung these days but it not make him any less fabulous.
FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning! More about FoXo and BOZO in the About page.
So no wonder that these wonderful wordless wonders still bring great joy and sheer cheer to many even today.
But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.
Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to many many more!
…
And yes of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime, the ever entertaining ever energetic ever enjoyable ever excellent evergreen entertainer, the brilliantly beautiful and beautifully brilliant BOZO!
And yes of course many thanks to Micheal Reardon for bringing back BOZO for us all!
While Whistling Down The Halls has its own significance, a complete BOZO comics book is still something that is a must have in collection. For something of this excellent calibre, it should be available in print. BOZO is pure artwork in action, where artwork and artwork alone does all the work of telling the funny tales. Why it should be used to teach art in schools even. Not an easy job to make someone laugh or smile even, with drawings only and single character never saying anything. An excellent example of artwork and artwork alone in action and am excellent example of expression through artwork alone, and in this case, awesome artwork alone. If this is not a great work of art then nothing is. Who else but FoXo has given such wordless wonders for so many years, and continued till end even with one eye in later stages while suffering from cancer? Whistling Down The Halls commemorates the Fabulous FoXo his life and his wonderful works and a BOZO comics book would be like an item of heritage worth preserving.
Harpo Marx in 1946, Bozo in 1947 — but I suspect both are based on a vaudeville sketch, and they didn’t have any idea of intellectual property in the vaudeville era.
Mr. Man with the Umbrella: 1st strip, last panel. This is an “iffy” sighting. That MAY be him in the crowd of fans in the bleachers. I dunno. If anyone sees him, let me know.
1) PERSISTENCE: Baseball—Bozo is after than homerun ball to catch it an at the last second, he does!
2) HOLDING HIS OWN: Cop sees Bozo lounging against a light post and orders him to move along. He does and the gas lamp falls over! [He was place holding it waiting for maintenance to fix it.]
3) TOO MUCH GUSTO: Bozo is the kicker, but he does it too hard. Instead of the ball flying it goes flat the air knocked out of it!
1) Runnin’ Down a Dream – Tom Petty 2) Lean on Me – Bill Withers 3) Kick Out the Jams – MC5 (maybe would have helped if the holder was on the correct side, or Bozo kicked lefty…lol)
NEVER SAY DIE SPIRIT= Seems like yesterday Bozo was in the stands catching baseballs and making the players mad, today, Bozo is on the field showing he can catch those long fly balls. MAIN SUPPORT= Well Ole Buttons wouldn’t listen if Bozo explained what he was doing, just walk on by. BLOW OUT= Either it is a cheap football or Bozo’s cleats are toooo SHARP!

1. Bozo makes the catch and the crowd goes wild.
2. Apparently the cop was trying to keep Bozo from committing a holdup.
3. Well doesn’t that just pop your balloon.

1 Looks like yesterday’s catch earned Bozo a spot in the lineup today. (I Believe I Can Fly — R. Kelly)
2 Gee, Bozo was planning on keeping it up all night long. (Leaning On The Lamp Post —Herman’s Hermits)
3 Might want to unsharpen those cleats a mite, Bozo. (Kicks — Paul Revere and the Raiders)

1. Can Bozo outrun the ball? Bozo, he can catch them all.
2. Mean cop says it’s time to dash. Bozo lets the streetlamp crash.
3. Kicker elated! Ball is deflated.

1) Bozo saves the game with a spectacular grab!
2) OK, officer, then you can explain to the city how the lamppost fell.
3) Folks, the game will be momentarily delayed while a new ball is inflated.

Can do! It’s on you. Play through. So if the ball goes flat in the middle of the play and the player with the ball still advances it, does it count?

1. Bozo can outrun a 100 mph hit baseball. Our Hero. 2. Bozo can even hold up light. 3. Bozo kick too much for pigskin.
