Too true to be funny. I received a birthday card several weeks late in Northern Illinois. It was mailed in the next town over. Only about 10 miles from post office to post office and a couple of miles to my house. For some reason it went to Colorado first. Even so, not sure why it took so long, except that DeJoy brings no joy to the mail system.
My neighborhood has gone days at a time with no mail delivery so I have to pick it up at the Post Office. Good job DeJoy undermining the Postal Service you idiot
The Republicans have been wanting to “privatize” the Post Office for years. That is the reason that Dejoy is doing all of this destructive crap to the USPS. The Republicans think that people will get so disgusted over the Post Office that they think the public will be so outraged that they will go after the PO with torches and pitchforks and demand it be privatized. Then we can get even far more expensive and even worse service. But the millionaires will make out just fine.
DeJoy was equally disastrous at running his various logistics companies… they were stumbling sweatshops at best… but making large-enough “contributions” to the right politicians sure pays off!
I once mailed something priority from California to Texas, and it got sent to Puerto Rico the day before Hurricane Maria made landfall there. Needless to say it did not arrive on time, and the perishable goods inside had perished.
Congressional politicians both Red and Blue are in the pockets of private delivery corporations and letting the Postal Service die a slow painful death. USPS pension payouts are astronomical. Benjamin Franklin eat your heart out.
We stopped having our mail held because the post office was delivering in anyway. So now, we have a friend take it in for us when we are out of town. We have informed delivery and have discovered mail that wasn’t delivered only to have the postal clerks shrug it off when we reported it. Thanks, DeJoy. He DeStinks at what he does
I would love to see Biden hand DeJoy his marching papers and have him be replaced by a person who’s had experience in the USPS as opposed to DeJoy (who was CEO of UPS before Trump made him Postmaster General)! I don’t think the USPS is beyond repair, but we need someone who knows what they’re doing in running the Post Office.

I have no idea why he’s still employed much less in charge. What a POS (and that’s not “point of sale”).

I just got a package in San Diego that went from a warehouse in San Diego, to Houston, and then to me back here in San Diego. So efficient . . .

It may not be possible to fire DeJoy, but he could still be fired upon. I’m surprised that none of “his” employees has “gone postal” on him.

Oddly in my area the Post Office is the most reliable carrier. I live in a Bay Area suburb.

Looks like banking by mail just became banking by FedEx.
