Sally and Snoopy sure are quite the show-offs, aren’t they?

The criteria for grades do not matter. That beagle is a hero for me, anyway.

Fifth Metatarsal? I broke my fifth metatarsal and all I got was a board with a Velcro strap on my foot. Called it a “surgical shoe”.

Oddly enough, I’ve already forgotten how he broke it. This feels like a long storyline.

Must be Snoopy’s story. He likes airline stewardesses.

Four weeks ago, Snoopy told the story of “three airline stewardesses on runaway horses” to Linus, who must have relayed it to Sally… https://www.gocomics.com/peanuts/2023/02/21

Wow, through all of the years, I never realized that Sally’s ambition was to be Fox News personality. I use the term personality as the definition for personality is different from journalist.

The Snoopy-with-a-leg-in-a-cast story arc has been going on for some time. Makes me wonder if Sparky was dealing with the same thing in real life at the time he was drawing these strips.

I am a volunteer guide at a historic cemetery—in some sense a professional storyteller. All of the guides at this particular cemetery have to do their own research and plan their own tours. BUT—the over-arching factor in all of our presentations is—“No guide can improvise. Everything you tell a visitor must be fact-based. Never make anything up”.

Let’s just say that improvsation isn’t necessary, and that truth really is stranger than fiction. If Sally could be motivated to do the necessary research, she’d make a fine guide.

These days, probably not. Facts have unfortunately become unpopular, thanks mainly to the late Richie “Never let the facts get in the way of a good story” Ashburn.
