I remember a similar rule from a long-gone show about time travel: Do not touch your (future) self, because the same matter cannot occupy the same space at the same time. But is it really the same matter, since skin periodically replaces itself?
A pair of ducks? As in Donald and Daisy? Or how about Huey, Dewey, or Louie with Webbie? Then again, Pokémon Psyduck (first generation; Red/Blue/Yellow) and Quaxly (ninth generation; Scarlet/Violet)?
Just realized the Seagull was saying Holy Mackerel too. Finally, he gets a speaking line. Does he get paid extra, Will? If Will answered he’d probably say he gets paid in fish.

No, no, no. Kids, Rose is talking about Welby and McCoy. You do not want to create more of those two.

Obviously they used all their combined brain power getting Rose involved. Now they’re just running on empty.

I haven’t had enough coffee yet. I kept saying ‘What ducks? No ducks were mentioned!’ Maybe a pair of ox(en)

I’m actually sort of surprised Wallace doesn’t already know what a paradox is.

Please Mr. Henry – we have Pastis and Hilburn (and several others) doing puns here.

Spock : How did you persuade him to keep your secret?
Spock Prime : He inferred that universe-ending paradoxes would ensue should he break his promise.
Spock : You lied.
Spock Prime : Aww… I… I implied.

Nice try, Will, but it just doesn’t work. “Ducks” would never be confused with “docks”, not even in New England.

The pun doesn’t work, but “E” for effort.

Is Seagull commenting simultaneously, or just parroting what is being said?
