How ironic. Liz is thinking about breaking up with Anthony and then John basically disowns Liz! Really, John? Your own daughter? Why?

The beginning of the breakup happens when you wake up one morning and realize she has bad teeth and hates poetry.

Funny how some people who feel like that don’t want to say it first, and yet they are so shocked when they hear it first.

Liz: If I say I’m spending too much with Anthony, I’m being reasonable. If he says he’s spending too much time with me, he’s an uncaring male clod. Funny how that works.
