So, let’s allow Chick Tracy II her “15 minutes” of fame as a TV commercial spokesbird. Soon enough, she’ll be just another Sunday dinner.

I like the way in panel 1 Shelley has made Gertie and B.O. background silhouettes and foregrounded the silent tableau of Attitude offering Chick a string bean while Walter grabs some ZZZs in his hair-nest.

Will this TV turn tie in with a Gameboy gambit? Or are we running a completely unconnected sub-arc?

Well, we know how this ends.

Gertie needs to do something about that overbite.

Like the “shadows” in Panel One—we know who it is and we’re spared the extreme close-up
