    They’ll just put another liar in his place. Someone even more unhinged.

    Murdoch absolutely DOES know that he doesn’t have to retract anything on air. That had to be part of the calculation to agree to the payoff. My personal opinion is that Murdoch never liked Tucker, just the ratings… and now he has a reason to put him where the sun don’t shine (so bright).

    Not an apology.

    No one in the right wing media structure EVER apologizes.

    Ever.

    For anything.

    My theory is that he left voluntarily so he could work for Trump. Yes, he criticized Trump, but TFG needs Carlson’s followers, so he’ll suck it up until he’s dictator-for-life, and then he’ll kick him out.

    I’m fairly certain he’ll have a soft landing … there’s a gullible audience that prefers Tucker’s tawdry tales over harsh objective reality.

    wait, do you think they are going to make Tucker the fall-guy for the corporate wide election lies? not that i don’t think he deserves it, and worse, but hopefully no one buys the one-bad-apple bs, if that is Fox’s intent with the firing.

    According to The Philodelphia Inquirer [among other news outlets],

    “Carlson didn’t enter the weekend thinking he’d be out of a job. The last thing he told viewers at the end of his show Friday night was, ‘We’ll be back on Monday. In the meantime, have the best weekend with the ones that you love. We’ll see you then.’

    “The former Fox News host gave the keynote address at Friday’s Heritage Foundation gala, where the idea of Carlson being fired was briefly brought up in the form of a joke by Heritage chief Kevin Roberts.

    “’If things go south at Fox News, there’s always a job for you at Heritage,’ Roberts said.

    “’Well, you’ve saved me before,’ a smiling Carlson responded."

    Wonder what position he’ll fill at the Foundation. It’s supposed to be a [conservative] think tank and charity.

    Tucker has a golden parachute. Fox paid him $20M a year and owes him another $60M on his contract. When he floats down to earth he’ll be heading all the way to the bank.

    What will his following do now, surely after 3~4 years they are no longer capable of independent thought. Gonna be a lot of zombies roaming the streets during prime time.. carrying guns. {eek}

    My Trumper nephew claims that Carlson didn’t get fired – he quit. Despite Carlson signing off at the end of his last shows with his usual see-me-again-tomorrow type slogans.

    Nephew responded “he’ll be back soon, better than ever!” Maybe if he takes that job offer from “Russia Today”… then he can really show his true colors…

    While Don was fired the same day. Lemon is most likely upset Carlson is getting more attention. Carlson will be fine, he can go back to the Daily Caller, or create a new website along with a Podcast. Carlson is brilliant. Yes he is, Braindead, Flashaway, Will. Lemon I almost feel sorry for him, he was fired for what he was supposed to do. Lemon was telling Vivek Ramaswamy that he was insulted as a Blackman that Blacks now have freedoms, Lemon even said Vivek Ramaswamy could only disagree with him when he is a black man and lived in this country. How racist is that, can’t have an opinion based on the color your skin. And we Republicans are the racist. You can only talk to white people like that Don, what did you think your job was about?
