Many colleges have closed down frats because of drunkenness and cruel hazing, which can result in the death of the pledge.

Will Walden close down Phi Phat due to “public sobriety”??

I think I hung out with the Designated Bingers for my entire university (UK universities do not have fraternities). Mind you, we could not drink as much as we thought we did. Ah, the rosy days of youth.

I’ve never been a drinker, and appreciate all the rotten choices I didn’t make being hammered the way too many others had: the “surprise” pregnancies, the waking up next to strangers (or in a cell), the drunken car crashes, the alienated ex-friends, getting booted out of college because partying took priority over studying. And all this in the name of having “fun.”

This reflects the experience of a number of my contemporaries at the university.

I never understood the draw of getting drunk enough to forget all the fun you got drunk to have.

    Panel 3 is right.

One of the things I learned working in a Bar for a while is that Drunks are endlessly entertaining if you stay Sober and pay attention to the Amazing things a bunch of Drunks will do while someone is “Holding Their Beer”.

A dorm I lived in when I was in my first year, 1963, had beer busts. We’d get a couple of kegs and go to a big park and drink till we puked. I’m glad my frontal lobe developed.
