Then there are those who refuse to be on Twitter…. the less said, the better.

Rat’s a woofer, not a tweeter.

Rat’s standards are my standards; but I don’t tweet because I’m not a twit.

Sadly most of the replies here tend to turn into name calling, fact twisting, arguments.

Sadder still is that very few people have minds that are open enough to consider another persons thoughts. I have even seen people who are saying the same thing calling each other idiots and trying to force their opinion on someone who has basically said the same thing earlier.

Anyone see that one coming?

If the Twitterverse can promote lies, just wait until AI has free reign on the internet, especially during campaign season. I hope our legislators and AI developers can learn how to filter out and block Russian/Chinese foreign AI actors. It’ll be the Wild West of disinformation.

I don’t know why Rat would need this test. What are the chances that anything he wants to say would be inspired by love of anyone except himself?

Goat should agree. After all, we saw how he acted when he thought there was no jack-booted government thug to make him behave.

I like the “Socratic” test, even when it has nothing to do with Socrates. We should apply it to social media… or just media… or just life itself… anyway, the carbon footprint of the Internet would be reduced to zero! :D

Most tweets aren’t inspired by love unless it’s self-love.

At least he’s got standards. And consistency.

I always ask myself “Am I about to tweet something?” If the answer is yes I stop.

Rat is not planning to reduce his tweets. He has never composed a tweet that conveyed love of anything besides himself.

I feel much the same way about several “clubs” and “fraternal” organizations that have kindly invited me to join them; not unlike Grouch Marx, I will not belong to any organization that would have me as a member. I have higher standards than that! 8>)

Seems to be an all too common filter. Especially when discussing politics.

Although I am not a twittiot myself, I will say that 90% of my posts on Facebook are inspired by love of Monty Python. The other 10% is just bragging that I finished another craft project.

Why did I expect anything more? This is Rat I’m talking to.

A lot of people on Twitter seem to have this philosophy.

Without standards, the world is all the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Sort of like our U.S. politicians.

Was kind of hoping Mr. Musk would dissolve Twitter. “They” will continue to use it as a “Thermometer” to take the temperature of the smartest people.

If I did that I probably wouldn’t tweet at all. Now, that’s a thought.
