Opal youā€™ll never have any trouble finding Earl. Just follow the crumbs.

I used to like ā€œHillbilly Breadā€ but since they donā€™t make it anymore, the closest Iā€™ve come to it is the current 9-grain bread. It still leaves crumbs too.

Is the bread have a spouse whoā€™s unable to contain her contempt? If so, the commonalities are pretty impressive!

I used to buy 5 grain bread for my lunches, and my youngest grandkid called it ā€˜polka dotā€™ bread because of the seeds on the crust.

I know a couple who are much like Earl and Opal. ā€œEarlā€ and I often walk together, as old codgers tend to do, usually when ā€œOpalā€ has other plans and ā€œEarlā€™sā€ absence is greatly desired (think book clubs, bridge games, and the like). We were taking a break on a park bench one afternoon, and somehow the conversation had drifted to famous last words and/ or epitaphs, when ā€œEarlā€ quipped, "Iā€™d like my tombstone to read, ā€˜I canā€™t hear you.ā€™ " I chuckled over that all afternoon.
