I like it, carrier geese can honk to let you know that you have mail.

How appropriate, the message arrives complete with a warning sound from the messenger goose.

If you have something urgent to say to your magician friend who you can only communicate with via mail…

You better use a Penn & Teller

I got an e-mail saying, “At Google Earth we can read maps backwards!” and I thought to myself…

    “That’s just spam.”

Knights like Rodney should always answer their chain-mail. They don’t want to break a link do they?

So was the stork delivering a baby announcement? Wiz and his misses have too much white hair to be expecting a new arrival don’t you think?

The thing about geese, particularly Canada Geese is that they provide their own security. They’re like Bruce Banner in that way – they are always angry.

Definitely have not run out of Canada geese around here (they are everywhere and have been having families)

Half a century ago I was looking through the list of “AN” designations for communications equipment in the US armed forces standards. There was a designation for carrier pigeons, but it was obsolete: they stopped using carrier pigeons altogether around the time I was born. I guess the pace of modern warfare makes them irrelevant even as backup… no more day-long standoffs.

Well, I suppose that’s what happens when your tweeter becomes a honker. Crummy message delivery over the air in the most annoying way possible.

“We ran out of carrier pigeons”

So now they have to use battleship pigeons.

When we are at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, the local favorite restaurant is “Canadian Honkers”. Their specialty is Bunny Cake, which is delicious!

How did the message go out ahead of the geese? It would need its own power source separate from the goose who had been carrying it…
