These prices really do date the strip. I have friends that pay to have their doggie groomed. At $60 for their little Pekingese, they consider that price both necessary and low.

$5000 would pay for tuition at Penn State for four years in 1976.

Considering Snoopy gives Charlie so much grief, I wouldn’t take an obedience school recommendation from him.

Since this is only a comic, I am thinking fantasy. But if this was a human kid with a dad who offered private school, I think the kid would give him the name of the most expensive school to “dad” to take advantage of the offer.

Nowadays some private schools cost more than college.
