tubuttville deserves the Congressional medal of dishonor.

Tuber is well named. If he and a potato ever go (ahem) head to head, the outcome is not at all certain. Meanwhile, he deserves to be scalloped. Or something like that.

Really stupid system you have where one nonentity can stop everything.

I’m a Vet. Here’s the things. Every one of these positions is filled. It’s filled by an interim or deputy. Every task is being done.

It’s no different than when the Company Gunny billet was filled by a Staff Sergeant. Or the First Sergeant billet was filled by a senior Gunny. Or the XO position was filled by one of the platoon commanders.

Instead of a three star filling the billet of X, it’s the two star that was the deputy.

Now, is this a stupid thing to do? Yes. Is it really affecting national security? Nope. And most people know it. But the politics of it gets in the way.

Another Republican hero. Trump would make him Secretary of Defense.

No small wonder Alabama is in the top of the top worst states to live in. Their leadership has no clue of what leaders are supposed to do. Then again, Repubs in general don’t know what real leaders are supposed to do, as they are too busy abusing their power, than doing their job as leaders working for their constituents, all of them.

I would suggest that they close down a military base in Alabama for every 30 days he holds up the vote, but then I remembered that he’s scamming his constituents because he actually lives in florida

Where in the Constitution does it specifically state that a single Senator shall have this kind of power over the policies of the entire armed forces of the country?

Tuberville probably SHOULD be charged with treason because he absolutely IS giving aid and comfort to our enemies by doing all in his power to weaken our military.

This Idiot just wants to thank everyone that put the Stupid republicans back in charge.

He degrades our military readiness, then blames Biden for our military not being ready. Typical repug.

Tuber is just another example of the GOP putting itself ahead of the country.

And his fellow GQP Senators haven’t said(or done)much of anything against him. Even tho the entire party is pro DOD and increases their budget every year.

Tommy is so stupid, I feel sorry for his staffers. They have to use crayons to draw pictures for him to explain the simplest workings of government. He can explain the triple option on the football field, but he can’t define what the three branches of government are.

tuberville was a poular football coach. That’s it. That got him elected. He did not serve in the military but he’s deliberately causing the military as much pain as he can in his position of power. He strongly disputes whether or not white nationalists are racist, and if they are he refuses to denounce them for it, and he says there is no reason that white nationalists should be barred from joining the military. He’s in competition with trump, because he and trump both describe themselves as “the least racist person anyone has ever met.”

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville‘s more than six-month hold on hundreds of promotions of U.S. Military officers has led the Secretary of the Navy to accuse the Alabama Republican lawmaker of “aiding and abetting communist and other autocratic regimes around the world.” That charge follows a Washington Post op-ed by the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force alleging Tuberville’s actions as “putting our national security at risk.” The Secretaries’ rare public remarks have led to other military experts, and political experts, speaking out against Tuberville, with one calling his actions “dereliction of duty.”

The military could just not murder children in their mother’s wombs.

Leave it to a southern state to make a one-trick pony (football coaching in this case) one of the 100 most powerful people in the country. Predictably that “skill set” does not lend itself to intelligent governance.

Yet another example of someone who was good at something that made (in this case him) popular being mistakenly elected to public office and showing a complete lack of ability to do the job. People who are good at sports and entertainment are very unlikely to be knowledgeable enough to be good at governing. Some, like Reagan, manage to hide it somewhat by depending on advisors (though not always very good at choosing them, trickle down economics being a prime example) but even them rarely manage to do well enough to be useful.
