For Heaven’s sake, Danae, blame it on Trump or Climate Change. Order a Pumpkin Spice Latte, hot with extra whip cream while you still can and get on with it.
And, sadly, Wiley’s home state, and my neighbors to the East, are now members of the mass shooting club as another gun wielding POS has shot, killed and wounded dozens of innocent people at a youth bowling event. Hopes and prayers my Kiester…
On a purely casual note, at the foot of the bed is a trunk lid that continually displays used dish and silverware. Does she get to take dinner to her room? Not a lot of discipline in that.
On a purely curious note, there are used dishes and silverware displayed on the trunk at the foot of her bed. Does she get to take dinner to her bedroom when she is give a ‘time-out?’ Not much discipline in that. But then, Bob is a thoughtful dad.
Among the things schools teach, one subject not on any formal curriculum is “Personal Responsibility.” They begin early. And sometimes the kids are not ready for it. It did not kick in for me until about 3rd or 4th grade. But I have stuck with it and I worked hard to instill that into our girls. They recently graduated from Oxford and one has an internship with the provincial Ministry of Health and the other has one with Stella McCartney. They did, and are, doing ok. Best wishes for Danae. (But we all know how it goes with her)
Sometime the consequences aren’t the instant karma of an “F” in history, but rather the quiz question worth 10,000.00 dollars of “Who shot Alexander Hamilton.” 10 years later.
You need to note, at this point, that the “Consequence Avoidance System” is working well for the G.O.P. -the Left has stopped talking about the stupidity exhibited by their choice of Speaker nans has replaced it with horror at one of their operatives mass killing in Maine – excellent diversionary tactic, in my opinion…
“Thoughts and prayers”? “Short term memory”? Was there enough time to get a replacement strip ready for later editions of today’s newspaper? Talk about bad timing…

Only yesterday she was taking “full responsibility”. Sounds like someone should explain what that means to her.

Maybe she’ll grow up to be someone who opposes gun control.

It’s also undoubtedly too early to talk about the latest mass shooting with an assault* weapon.
Another opportunity for gun violence advocates to celebrate.

Sounds like she has been paying attention to history, just not learning the right lessons. There are consequences to maleficence.

The short term memory comes by starting a fresh scandal to drown out the original scandal. Hard to do when you’re grounded for a week.
