Tbh, I’m pretty sure society is collapsing right now. I doubt we have more than 100 at most years left unless we miraculously change our ways or form self sustained colonies in space.

The deforestation will certainly help raise the CO2 level … the trees do recycle it into oxygen. But the bureaucrats will find a way to force CO2 deep into the ground and bury it.

Too bad for the beavers, though. The humans will wipe out them and most other species long before the last humans walk the earth.

It is plain to see from all these comments that nobody is studying the Holy scriptures. I won’t delve into that here, but read them for yourselves, if you dare.

you can believe what you want, but in the end if it HELPS the planet, how can you be against it.

A lot of conversation on this topic with no one consensus as to solution. That likely will continue indefinitely.

Make up your minds. Do something or don’t.

Either way there will be a need for adjustments and accommodations to reach whatever goal is chosen.

Talking it to death doesn’t get there.

Sadly it looks like sooner rather than later. Over 6 billion past sustainable and loving parents are adding a net gain of over 200,000 cute little baby fossil carbon footprints more per day. Fossil carbon fuel consumption by man has changed the planet nearly as fast as the asteroid that took care of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. We humans are committing mass suicide.

Brazil is learning the effects of deforesting a rain forest. Without the trees it will just be a new desert. So, much for their farming dreams.

Sooner than you think. WWIII is right around the corner. Why do you think China, Russia, and North Korea, along with certain other Countries, have been so buddy-buddy lately? Of course, since our fearless leader has given our weapons stock away, drained the strategic oil supply, we are in deepest shiitake. When China hits Taiwan, better find cover. It’s coming real soon. They want the imbecile-in-charge to still be in office.

The good thing about trees is that we can plant new ones just like any other crop. Logging companies plant more trees than they cut. That is why forestry is in the Department of Agriculture.
