Filth Rich is the name of a “My little pony” character.

I always wondered if “drinking fountain” was meant to be slang for a certain part of the male anatomy.

Who did they grab?

If he’s filthy, why would they touch him?

Rich didn’t think it was as funny.

ba da DUM …and that ain’t all, folks.. take my wife.. please.

If this strip were done today, there would be gunfire, not “grabbing”.

The Spanish-language C&H struggled with the translation of this one, postulating a schoolboy named “Mucho Dinero”.

Given the pun, I wonder if they robbed him or just jumped him.

Hopefully, C&H have a safe landing when they finish their ride…

Is it just me, or is this more of a dad joke than Calvin’s uzual style of humour?

Nickname is Filthy Rich. (Calvin’s version of Pigpen)

Calvin probably wishes it had been Moe.

I’m guessing ‘Filthy Rich’ is the nickname of one of the kids?

Aside from what Moe calls him, what do you suppose Calvin’s nickname might be?

Somehow, I don’t think I would want to drink out of that fountain now…

Embarrassed to say it took me almost a minute to get it. At first, I thought it was something vague about knocking teeth out at the drinking fountain, tooth fairy money, etc. But then, the coffee kicked in.

Hmmm… The story seems a bit nebulous…

I don’t know how kids will get filthy rich by getting bullied Calvin.

Why would they want to grab Rich if he’s all filthy?

Okay, that was pretty funny.

I’m sorry, but there was a comic in the early 70’s call “Filthy Richie.” He had a distinctive hair style with “horns.” Now look at the dark figure between the trees behind Calvin. This could get “dark” real quick.

Was Moe one of them?
