Be nice to your future mother-in-law.
What do you call Valentine’s Day for bad guys? Villain-tines day!
Bill, this would have been much funnier if the last panel showed that snowball on Calvin’s head!
Curses! Foiled again!
Shut up and throw the snowball.
kinda’ like an insurance plan incase the first scam doesn’t work. You could have had a future in the FBI. Their insurance plan just got busted.
“And a happy Valentine’s Day to you Calvin.”
“I would have got away with it too, if it wasn’t for those pesky kids, mother!”
Bruh, that snowball will melt when it goes inside so that won’t work Calvin
Calvin’s plan B is not desired even on Saint Valentine’s Day.
Goodbye Mrs. Derkin,
I’m sick and tired of workin’….
I can only imagine the conversation that Mrs. D and Susie have after this – “So that Calvin boy was at the door and clearly up to no good…”
Your parents are so gonna hear about this, Calvin…
Who’s the ding-dong now?
Oh you should have thrown it anyway. Then run. Away from home. Adventures thereafter abound!
As usual, Cal has one goal and one plan to get there. And also as usual, he fumbles, which actually is lucky for others.
No plan survives, meeting the enemy.
Calvin went through all that trouble to show how much he loved Susie too.
That look of embarrassment on Calvin’s face in the third panel…
“Why yes, I’d love one – OH SUSIE! Look what the nice boy next door brought for you!”PAFF
That wasn’t very nice on Valentine’s Day.
At this point, I bet Mrs. Derkins is asking Mr. Derkins about getting a transfer to a new city.

Fella your plan A should have included Susie grabbing the snowball and whacking at you. Subtle plan B is fine.
Is this as close as we ever come to actually seeing her in the strip?
The execution was okay, but the plan needs a little more work.
When he isn’t acting on the spur of the moment, Calvin is always so sure his plans will work, he never considers what will happen if they don’t.
A lot easier to deal with bad PIL than when their your own.
“Flavored snowballs is what you are selling. Remember for next time.
He should’ve at least put a chocolate bon bon on top of the snowball.
Lucky for Calvin his reflexes were just a tad slower than his brain.
Given all the hell Calvin put Susie through with snowballs, I’m pretty sure Mrs. Derkins knew what Calvin was actually up to…
He wanted Susie to answer the door on Valentine’s Day, he liiiiiikes her!
LOL… Calvin is probably lucky is was not Susie’s Dad… Dad would have known exactly what Calvin was up to…
Must admire Calvin’s ability to pivot on the spot. He’s one quick (if often misguided) thinker.
Homage to Charlie Brown in that last panel
You need to create Plan B when you’re done with formulating Plan A.
