As usual, Cal has one goal and one plan to get there. And also as usual, he fumbles, which actually is lucky for others.

No plan survives, meeting the enemy.

Calvin went through all that trouble to show how much he loved Susie too.

Fella your plan A should have included Susie grabbing the snowball and whacking at you. Subtle plan B is fine.

Is this as close as we ever come to actually seeing her in the strip?

The execution was okay, but the plan needs a little more work.

When he isn’t acting on the spur of the moment, Calvin is always so sure his plans will work, he never considers what will happen if they don’t.

A lot easier to deal with bad PIL than when their your own.

Given all the hell Calvin put Susie through with snowballs, I’m pretty sure Mrs. Derkins knew what Calvin was actually up to…

LOL… Calvin is probably lucky is was not Susie’s Dad… Dad would have known exactly what Calvin was up to…

Must admire Calvin’s ability to pivot on the spot. He’s one quick (if often misguided) thinker.
