Phil is insisting that he can’t lose while he was in office and he’ll take it all the way to the Supreme Court. Or is that somebody else I’m thinking of?
First, the board is the wrong way round – the rule is “white on the right”. Second, if “any move” puts (whoever) in checkmate, it’s an illegal move, so (whoever) is actually in stalemate, which is a draw.
Um, you can’t move into check. Therefore the game is over. Period. He is already in check (king being under attack) and mate (there is no possible move that can remove the check). While check and mate are usually abbreviated to checkmate they aren’t the same.
No point waiting for a guy to make a move when there is no move to make. Lamer than a defense attorney whose client has murdered both parents to ask for mercy for his client – because he’s now an orphan.
It wasn’t my strategy, but I guess the big chess game of life. I’ve outlived the few close friends I’d played chess with. I don’t feel like the winner though, because I still miss them.
It is in a defense attorney’s best interest to keep a client who is most likely guilty out for jail for as long as possible so that the attorney can continue to get paid as long as possible.
My problem is that he seems to have a problem with defense attorneys. The current mindset is that they always get the guilty off. Our current prison population would reject that. We need more public defense attorneys for regular people.

Sometimes, the only way to win is to not play the game.

doesn’t matter if he does nothing, checkmate is checkmate and even if he doesn’t acknowlege it, it’s still checkmate. game over.
