It’s almost 6AM here and husband has already had 3 reasons to argue with me.

Sounds just like my wife’s philosophy.

This is absolutely my philosophy. That, however, does not make it as inane as what this sad excuse of a gentleman sounds like.

I am incapable of error.

I had an experience in my early days and it left me with 5 priorities: Life itself, health, family (including non-biological brothers and sisters), faith and freedom. It was a valuable lesson I learned at age 22.

These are the only things worth living for, these are the only things worth fighting for and these are the only things worth dying for; not only for myself, but for others.

Notice that power, fame and fortune are not on this list.

There’s something called the horseshoe effect or theory which says the further apart an ideology is the closer together they become (or something like that. my memory is not too good, I’ll be 80 in January). At any rate I’ve noticed that far right and far left have things in common, like loss of freedom, plus thinking they are right and the other side is wrong.

Time was when I looked forward to the new year with the thought that things could get better. That was some time ago.

In the new year, how about we take egotists less seriously? It will keep us humble.

This is the mindset of the entire Republican party. Except they don’t even consider introspection or new ways of doing things, or peace, or tranquility.

I’ve said for years that if only everyone would do what I tell them, everything would be much better. For me, anyway.
