She would have had about 30 seconds to correct the error.

Or Marigold could change Phoebe so that she doesn’t need air. That would be useful if Phoebe ever decided to climb Mount Everest.

I would think air pressure as well!

That would really have made a sour note of Christmas

it might be kind of scary but funny at the same time if Marigold were to ever have her eyes pop out in a cartoonish fashion hanging by the optic nerve even for a moment.

as for last second decisions I will say that on Tuesday me and my mother were driving and turning left through a blinking yellow left turn light and some guy was speeding through the light straight ahead and he was on a direct path towards me if I didn’t shout in that split second I would have been dead instantly because my mother wouldn’t have stopped in time.

It was a 4runner and our van was a caravan but at his speed he would have gone right through it like butter and I would have been no better in the car than outside standing in the road to be hit.

I think his car is heavier.

he was probably going 50 or even 60 mph.

I would have been at the very heart of the T-bone crash.

death rushing past just inches in front of your face is NOT at all easy to get over.

I can still see images of that huge car smashing through my door into my face.

talk about a slightly late but ultimate saving Christmas gift.

I don’t see any sort of bubble. Did Marigold create enough air to cover the entire surface of the moon?

I’ve seen what happens to long haired astronauts on the ISS, but wouldn’t the 1/6th gravity on the moon be sufficient to still keep the hair down?

Small quibbles. But mainly, this shows how Marigold’s magic is all over the place. Sometimes she’s stuck by the most trivial of problems. Others, she seems practically omnipotent.

She also took care of the extreme radiation and the 300° F days and -200° F nights.

She’d also need to change the air pressure of space so they don’t explode and the moon’s gravity so they don’t go injuring themselves moving around.

    Oh please.

You’re reading a cartoon about unicorns and insist on real-life physics?!?

It’s just occurred to me that the depictions of the Earth in yesterday’s and today’s strips will annoy Flat Earthers who say that space footage must be fake because it depicts the Earth as round. Hopefully. Flat Earthers do not read this strip.

Phoebe would also need something to protect from the extreme high temperature of 250 degrees F (120 C) and extreme cold temperature of -208 F (-130 C). They could probably see the constellation Monoceros (Latin for unicorn) from the moon. It’s made of mostly dim stars and hard to see from Earth probably from all the light pollution.

Good thing they didn’t land on the dark side of the moon. Then we wouldn’t be able to see them!

Astronauts take a boatload of precautions for every operation in space. Marigold almost forgot to include air in the wish.

    NASA would like a word…

Radiation shielding would be nice, too, unless she wants to see Phoebe die from cancer.
