That’s what an author typically wants from beta readers. The less feedback an author gets, the more his or her time has been wasted.

Writing for children doesn’t have to mean writing at a low level.

J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone for her 11 year old son; while it works perfectly at that level, my son was 17 and I was 48 when we read it, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

Way below my reading level.
