We can all dream……

Economical – without the looming danger of hitting icebergs…

I hear cruises tend to be better as daydreams than reality. No risk of the plumbing going south.

That ship has sailed…Happy New Year!

It’s better than the real thing … you get to be on the cruise …

… and you can feel comfortably at home (because you are) …

… and when you wake up you are not stuck on a ship.

Whether you’re awake or not to ring in the New Year, here’s hoping that it’s a good year for you all!

I’ll be celebrating New Year’s on the S. S. Poseidon tonight…

That’s what I’ll be doing too, unless someone wakes me up before they go go.

Our New Year’s fireworks display is launched from the south side of the State Capitol building. I, and a few others, have a special place for viewing the fantastic display. The fireworks are literally overhead.

It’s strange- even though we live in a quiet-ish neighborhood some of the folks around us will start setting off fireworks at least a day ahead of an event (like July 4th, New Year’s Eve, etc). Last night? Not a peep. And it wasn’t like we had bad weather, either.

The best New Years parties don’t involve me in them.

Not a fan of loud, social gatherings outside of sports games.
