I have a fear of elevators. I’ve been taking steps to avoid them

Elevators don’t bother me, but the staring might.

On the other hand, you can get the shaft in the elevator.

If you can’t take the stares, get to the elevator as quickly as you can.

That’s the thing about elevators, they have their ups and downs. Stares just leave everyone speechless.
