Maybe those pants are related to the pale green pants with nobody inside them (from “What was I Scared of?” from “The Sneeches and Other Stories” by Dr. Seuss)?
Did you hear about the latest drug on the market called homo-seltzer? You take 2 pills before you go to bed at night and you wake up the next morning feeling yourself again.
Decades ago, in the hospital trying to go to sleep pre-surgery; nurse gave myself and the other patient a sleeping pill- don’t know what it was but remember it was a green gel cap. We both enjoyed and commented on the spectacular light show with vivid colors on the room’s TV — which was turned OFF. Yes, we did go to sleep, and yes, the surgery went well.
Who knows what goes on in a cat’s mind? Sometimes I think my girl was trying to cheer me up, doing goofy things and dragging my full hot water bottle across the bedroom floor, helping me with my crafts. I miss her so much!

You’d be surprised at the things I saw when I was on Paxil.

When he was young, he had ants in his pants — now it’s a cat in his pants.

Wouldn’t have been surprised if our cat pulled something like that.

She’s on “happy pills”, that explains a lot!

We’ve had cats who would crawl around like that under the bedcovers and then fall asleep there.

Just because the cat is there doesn’t mean she’s not going crazy.

Your cat is gaslighting you.

For some reason, my eyes didn’t want to see the word “pills”, and I wondered how one breaks pants in half.

Pantaloons, all of them.

You aren’t crazy, Opal, Muffin was taking Earl’s pants for a walk.
Angry Indeed Premium Member 9 months ago
I think Muffin’s sense of smell has sharply diminished considering that she’s encased in Earl’s fart sack.

He may be right. She may be crazy.

Another punchline to this (with new dialogue) would be her saying "Earl, you don’t put your clothes in for washing often enough. "
jhpeanut 9 months ago
Mom used to say, Put them in the wash machine before they walk their themselves".

It doesn’t really have to be “or.” It could very well be “and;” yes you are and yes you did.

Folk, you’re overthinking this strip; it’s about the cat.

If a whole pill makes you unable to get up and do a reality check, it is time to find another way to deal with your anxieties.

Or the cat is just bored.
