Good luck finding an OB / GYN in that state, which declared war against women and health care professionals.

If Texas is so bad, then why is it and Florida gaining electoral votes, when California and New York are losing electoral votes?

There seems to be a competition between Red states for which one can take away the most freedoms and liberties, while rigging the election process. Can someone explain either why people put up with this or how people can turn this around? Texas and Florida would be 1a and 1b in this contest, with Arkansas, Idaho, Alabama, and Oklahoma close behind.

I thought I’d miss Texas when we left in 2014; but it’s gotten so much worse that I miss only my friends. We’re in TN now, though, and the state government here is vying with TX for worst state in America. Vote Democratic in November PLEASE! Stop the movement towards a fascist USA because it’s the ONLY way we’ll be able to stop this plunge to rock bottom.

California has some of the best natural beauty in the country, coupled with a desirable climate, yet people are leaving there. Texas is not a very beautiful state at all, and very hot in summer, yet people keep moving there. Hmmmmmmmm……..

I recently worked with a client who had relocated from Illinois. I asked her why she moved, one word, “taxes.” She said she saves at least $10,000 a year living in a free state and has a nicer home to boot!

Texas still has roughly 49% of non-republican voters. What’s sad, in texas and elsewhere where the elephants maintain control, is that they do it via egregious gerrymandering. When you KNOW your ideas won’t win, you do anything else you can do to stay in power.

I am a bit confused by the color choices for California in particular. But it was easy to identify the red states altho not sure NH is THAT bad when Alabama isn’t read and Florida is not red. Give us a legend!

To be a Texas Republican, one has to believe that it’s a good idea to arm teachers with guns, but teachers can’t be trusted to choose library books.

It is said that the unofficial motto of the Great State of Alabama is, “Gratias ago Deo pro Mississippia” (Thank God for Mississippi).

(The rather truculent official motto, “Audemus jura nostra defendere” (we dare to defend our rights) has a strong Reconstruction Era whiff, but it was in fact proposed in 1923 but not officially adopted until 16 years later.)
