I was wondering what happened to everyone else. Glad to see they’ve found a safe place. There was even a spot for a nice sofa.

Acme? Haven’t you heard about the lawsuit from Wile E. Coyote? Stick with Elmer’s.

Wally is officially the Sofa King! And that landing was Sofa King amazing!

I hope that sofa is a convertible.

Brilliant! They’re all safe and sound. The sofa was a real life saver and landed with a most satisfying whummp. I wonder how all the others got there – I’ll bet there’s story or two to tell. And, what’s truly amazing is they all landed in the same place.

Can Wacky Cat make an entrance, or what?

So, they all headed to the beach as Wacky recommended on Feb. 3. Wacky-the “event magnet”-was merely forced to take the scenic route to get there. Now, what can he do with the couch?

Duffy, realizing that being a star is not all it is cracked up to be… or maybe too much so…

I don’t see any waterspouts … although the gang looks properly terrorized…

I’m glad to see that everyone is back together! Hopefully, they won’t be separated again. Not taking any bets on it.

At least it wasn’t a refrigerator.

Sounds like he survived but not intact. Hope it’s nothing serious. And at this point, that level includes some broken bones.

One element a comic lacks is sound. But that place must indeed sound loud. Crashing ocean liners and buildings, high winds, and towering lightning bolts must be close to deafening. Even under the cover of that cliff.

Cracked: “Let me pull myself together, and we can keep going.”

Not the ACME brand glue. The fumes are known to attract Mack trucks and other fast moving objects.

He’s done rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic

so all of that was just to get this couch to the beach where his friends were waiting all along?

Ah! Happy landings and the gang’s all here! With the loose change and stale candy hidden in this couch we can refresh ourselves for the end of the worlds.

Sofa, so good.

With all that cushioning, that must have been one ‘soft’ landing.

OK gang, help me move this out onto the beach and open up the hide-a-bed and arrange the cushions before that lifeboat I kicked off the falling ocean liner lands here. With luck it will land safely on the couch and we can then use it to cross this vast ocean to someplace safe. I just hope some food falls nearby soon. Anyone see a falling grocery store?

Thank goodness he’s not a mashed couch potato. He’s a bit fried, though. He’ll hash it all out.

Ah, the dialogue got left on the beach. It’s always in the last place you draw…

A couch on the beach….they can all sit together comfortably and watch the world end.

Hey! Wally Nuked the Fridge!

At least he landed on something soft… Or was it the other way around?

OK! The gang’s alive. They escaped Tunnel City. They’re away from the Drop Zone. Now they just have to solve less than a dozen current problems! Yay for progress. Problems such as “Wasn’t the undoing of the colony supposed to destroy the entire realityscape they are in right now?”

Just like a cat, always lying on the couch.

Now I wonder how many bounces he took to reach the beach? The two arcs we see are pretty flat.

Any accident that you can walk away from, with the assistance of FleshGlue (registered trademark of Acme), is a minor one.

Looking at the whole sequence together, this was fantastic, and a lot of fun!

So they made it down to the beach faster than he did, but he obtained a sofa to save himself- being targeted by the eye… and it cushioned his fall.

Oh now I just recognized this place. These are the cliffs near Calais !

He stopped calling himself Wally?

It has taken a year to get from Cracked Cat’s world back to this place.

Terrence: “My God are you still alive?” Wally: “Let me get back to you on that.”

We can see Wacky’s hand, but they can’t. After all they’ve been through (except for Phoebe and Cole), they might think Wacky has been turned into a couch, or sofa, or loveseat-or whatever that is. One day it’s piles of toothbrushes. Another day…maybe living-room furniture.

Sometimes I wonder if this is stream of consciousness cartooning.

Now all he needs to do is paint an escape tunnel onto the cliff wall and they’re home free…
