Reminds me of a false story involving an automotive engineer (David E. Cole) and a supposed Obama task force that wanted a hybrid electric / liquid natural gas car. The story goes that when Cole explained that the current state of technology would make this very difficult, and that some laws of physics prevented some of their ideas from working…

Supposedly, the Obama person interrupted and said “These laws of physics? Who’s rules are those, we need to change that. We have the congress and the administration. We can repeal that law, amend it, or use an executive order to get rid of that problem. That’s why we are here, to fix these sort of issues”.

The story is bogus. David E. Cole: I have not met with the Obama task force. The reference to “laws of physics” applies to a conversation I had with several congressmen a number of years ago where they suggested we pass a new 2nd law of thermodynamics.

But I still know some conspiracy theory nuts who swear the story is completely true…
