If she didn’t watch the news, she would be totally ignorant of what is happening in the world. Given that she is going to school to learn, it seems like you would want her to know stuff.

Danae’s learning, all right. But she’s not learning the right things about the right stuff. She’s just learning the wrong stuff.

It’s not news, it’s propaganda.

Euphemisms should be cleaned regularly and flushed after each use. Even the banal ones.

I know who it sounds like she’s been watching.

The euphemisms don’t change the reality of the situation, just the perception of the situation. Something people don’t realize until it is WAY too late.

Plaigirizing is stealing. It doesn’t matter which college you get to be elected to be the president of. Or to which college’s president you are elected.

The art of spin is equal parts corporate speak and politics. The two go hand in hand. And both use the same advertising firms.

Embrace “Truthiness” it’s much more convenient, than the truth thing.

It’s hard to choose a quality that actually describes modern news speak. Kinda between banality and idiocy.

She needs some ‘me time’ in her room, without the phone or TV.

Unfortunately, what we are going through now has become the normal. It is no one’s fault except our own. “The government [country] you elect is the government [country] you deserve.”― Thomas Jefferson . But even even Jefferson didn’t know ignorance and banality was a winner as a political platform.

OK, I get it, the message here is that the little girl is brainwashed and thoroughly corrupted by watching too much TV. In reality TV news is only a small part of the brainwashing and corrupting factor.

Does anybody else realize that this is a complete repeat? Not just a little bit similar, a duplicate. I recognize that because it was one I really liked.
