Croptop is a tough one, but Tracy has been in many fist fights before. No talking heads today, this is some of the action you’ve been waiting for.

Time for some of the gimmicks of the Hatmobile to come into play.

Now THAT’S what I’m talkin" about! A bada$$ beyotch (take that Nannybot) who can fight! That kick looks like a trademark MMA move. She definitely fights better than her brother. Tracy looks like he’s ready for the second round in the last panel. I’m still liking this story and the artwork is fantastic. Kudos, Charles!

I think I hear Dick’s fists giggling in the last panel.

Dick’s gonna put marks on her that 409 won’t take off .

Now he’s got her. Assualt on a police officer. Should be good enough to violate her parole.

If Tracy doesn’t get up and finish it – that is, if either someone else clobbers her or she rides off into the sunset with the goods – then Mike has effectively killed Dick Tracy.

However, the clues I’m seeing here is that Tracy was playing the gentlemanly hands-off-the-girl to start with and is about to get back up with that fist ready to swing. Croppie only got a good kick in because he was playing nice. It looks like it’s no more mister nice guy with that look in last panel.

(Honestly, though, she shouldn’t have gotten the kick in so easily, but this looks like it’s going in the right direction anyway.)

After the fight is over, the case is opened again and the stolen money has vanished, as if by magic!!! Later, Fata Morgana and Rikki Mortis celebrate with the money in their new hideout! LOL

It’s nice to see an opponent who really knows how to fight.

The next story is another flashback, from before the introduction of the wrist-radio: Tracy is urgently contacted from police headquarters using a spotlight which displays the silhouette of a fedora hat :) In the Hatmobile, Chick Tracy II’s squawking brings the Hat-Signal to DT’s attention…
