I claimed that if you got your swing and stance down properly, you could hit the ball with your eyes closed. Darned if I didn’t manage a decent shot that way. I’ve only dared try it once.

I have found that “DO (something physical)” works much better than “DON’T…” For instance, when I’m playing those video “driving” games, I do better aiming FOR the middle of the road than aiming to MISS one of the obstacles.

I read about an old golfer who played the game for decades. But he always had lousy luck playing the game. I’d guess he played for the exercise, or the companionship, or maybe the drinks at the end of the game. But as far as the game went, his luck was always bad. And his lousy luck lasted to the very end. When they tried to bury him. It still took six or seven try’s to sink his coffin in the hole.

Jason is standing dangerously close to a man armed with a club and little sense of how to use it properly.

Decades ago in league tennis. The captain, in a close doubles match with his partner, told him, “Just don’t double fault.”

Zig Ziglar had a bit about that when he was teaching people to set goals and the Power of Positiver Thinking. He said, if you lkeep telling yourself you are going to hit it in the water, don’t be suprised when you do.

As long as we’re raggin’ on golf: go to ytube and watch Robin Williams doing his spiel on the Scotsman who invented golf. It’s required viewing for everyone everywhere EVER.
