There was an angry mummy in a comic strip which I detailed on Red and Rover some years ago. The strip was “Spookum School” on the back page of a UK comic called Buzz. It was a ghostly version of another Buzz comic strip called “Skookum School”. “Skookum School” was set in Skookum School during the day and “Spookum School” was set in Skookum School during the night.
The “Spookum School” strip began with the ghostly children and their ghostly master outside Skookum School and seeing a sign which read, “Skookum School – Closed For Repairs”. The teacher took the ghosts on a museum trip instead. Towards the end of the strip, one of the ghostly children looked scared and said, “Mummy!” The teacher replied, “You’re too big a boy to want your mummy.” They then saw an angry mummy who was saying, “This is MY haunting spot.” The last panel showed a new sign outside Skookum School. This one said, “Spookum School – Closed For Repairs To Pupils And Teacher”.
When I outlined this on Red and Rover, someone commented, “Sounds a cute cartoon.”
My first reaction was that Garfield was saying HE had no wi-fi which is why he was watching such a lousy old movie. Curious how each of our perceptions and interpretations can differ so much. I am sure the true intent was, indeed, as all the rest of you saw it immediately. I am just a bit slow on the uptake sometime.
The cable TV went south last night, thank goodness for wifi and my Roku stick but there was nothing good there to watch either, so I went to my Kindle, almost done with the current book because of that, I read until 2 am lol

Just terrible. Tortured, cursed, buried alive with flesh eating scarabs and no Wi-Fi. No wonder The Mummy is angry.

The mummy is angry because it was cleaned out by a Tomb Raider.

A mummy using wi-fi sounds like something that would make a good comedy.

Some magazine in 1997 published a one-drawing cartoon consisting of ancient hyroglyphics on a cave wall; in the lower right corner it said .

There was not wi-fi when Boris Karloff existed.
